Cong caught in its own quagmire of sins: PM Modi

Jhabua (MP): In a vitriolic and decimating assault on the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged on Sunday that the party is “trapped in the quicksand of its sins, and the more it struggles to emerge, the more it will sink.”
Addressing a Janjatiya Sammelan in this tribal-dominated district headquarters, the visiting dignitary averred, “The Congress, which is concerned not about your villages but its own palaces, is busy in destructive and divisive activities, but the country shall never allow such designs to succeed.”
Expressing confidence that the National Democratic Alliance would cross the 400-seat mark in the general election, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party alone would emerge victorious in excess of 370 constituencies.
“I urge you to become active at the polling booth level and disseminate details of your achievements. The opposition leaders were shown the ground reality in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls. Indeed, such is the public mood in every nook and cranny of the country. While I was offering worship in the south, I observed mothers, sisters, the elderly, children, and youths coming in thousands to shower blessings on me. It was simply beyond my imagination,” Modi reminisced.
In Madhya Pradesh, a double-engine government is working with double speed, and the credit for this development mega campaign goes to the populace, he underlined, adding that some people are saying that Modi will blow the Lok Sabha campaign bugle from Jhabua, but “I say that Modi has not come to drum up support. He has come as a servant to seek the gratitude of the godlike public. I guarantee that we shall toil day and night for you.”
In the past, Madhya Pradesh experienced the dark age of the Congress, he alleged, adding that the state was counted among the BiMaRU ones.
“The biggest reason for that state of affairs was the Congress’s attitude of brimful hatred towards villages, the indigent, and tribal areas. That party never contemplates regarding the development and honor of the Adivasi community, which it treats as a mere vote bank,” Modi emphasized.
“The Congress opened only 100 Eklavya Model Residential Schools in so many years that it received opportunities to bring about betterment. It prevented livelihood from forest produce and did nothing against the scourge of sickle-cell anemia. It stood akin to a wall when a tribal lady was being elevated to the nation’s highest constitutional office. The Congress heaps abuse on me,” he said.
The Prime Minister announced that the Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University will be established and extended his best wishes for the Bhagoria festival.
Modi dedicated himself to the nation and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth about Rs 7,300 crore.
The Prime Minister disbursed the monthly instalment of Aahar Anudan under the Aahar Anudan Yojana to approximately two lakh women beneficiaries. Under this scheme, Rs 1,500 per month is provided for nutritious food to women of various specially backward tribes in Madhya Pradesh.
He distributed 1.75 lakh adhikar abhilekh (record of rights) to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA Scheme. This will provide documentary evidence for people’s right to their land.
Modi transferred Rs 55.9 crore to 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana. This amount will be used for construction activities including Anganwadi bhavans, fair-priced shops, health centers, additional rooms in schools, and internal roads, among others.
He laid the foundation stone for a ‘CM Rise School’ that will integrate technology to provide modern facilities like smart classes, an e-library, etc.
The ventures whose foundation stone was laid included the Talavada Project, which is a potable water supply scheme for more than a thousand villages in Dhar and Ratlam, and 14 urban water supply schemes under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0, benefiting more than 50,000 urban households across multiple districts.
The Prime Minister also dedicated the Nal Jal Yojana for 50-gram panchayats in Jhabua that will provide tap water to about 11,000 households.
The foundation stone for the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations was laid. These stations will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The rail projects included doubling of the Indore-Dewas-Ujjain C cabin line; an Itarsi-North-South grade separator with yard remodeling; and a third line connecting Barkhera-Budni-Itarsi.
Modi dedicated road development projects worth more than Rs 3,275 crore, including the four-laning of Harda-Betul (Package-I) from km 0.00 to km 30.00 (Harda-Temagaon) of NH-47; the Ujjain-Dewas section of NH-752D; the four-laning (16 km) of the Indore-Gujarat MP Border section of NH-47; and the four-laning of Chicholi-Betul (Package-III) Harda-Betul of NH-47 and the Ujjain-Jhalawar section of NH-552G.
Further, the Prime Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stone for other development initiatives such as waste dumpsite remediation and electric substations, among others.
