Jammu : Director General J&K Police R.R Swain on Saturday sanctioned meritorious scholarships of over rupees 11.36 lakh in favour of 181 wards of serving police personnel.
According to a statement issued Police Media Centre PHQ Jammu the reward has been sanctioned in favour of those wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the Annual examination of Class 12th during the Academic Session 2022-23 out of Central Police Welfare Fund. Moreover rupees 7200/- each has been sanctioned in favour of forty-two students who have secured more than 90% marks while one thirty-nine students who have secured 80% and above marks have been given rupees 6000/- each.
Moreover, the top four meritorious wards are Rizwan Ahmad Tunch S/O SI Lal Din securing 97.4% marks, Samin Alam D/O DySP Sheikh Ashfaq Alam 96.6% marks, Kaisar Ul Jahan D/O HC Mohammad Yousuf 96.6% marks and Shabnam Rasheed S/O HC Ab Rashid 96.6% marks in the annual examination of class 12th.
