Awantipora : IUST scholar Asifa Nazir from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering has been chosen for Women in Science and Engineering-PhD (WISE-PhD) Fellowship.
The scholar is pursuing her Phd under Dr. Ahsan Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Notably, AsifaNazir is the only scholar selected from the Kashmir Valley from the Engineering and Technology domain. ErSajad Ahmad Lone, HoD, CSE, congratulated the scholar on getting the fellowship.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, WISE fellowship, under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), provides support to highly motivated women researchers to pursue PhD in Basic and Applied Sciences.
