Kulgam: Police in Kulgam orchestrated a series of Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at various police stations, including Police Station Kulgam, Police Station Yaripora, Police Station Manzgam, Police Post Mirbazar, and Police Post Frisal.
Addl. SP Kulgam, Shabir Ahmad, chaired the meeting at Police Station Yaripora, while other police stations were presided over by their respective jurisdictional officers. The gatherings saw the active participation of respected citizens from Town Kulgam, Sangus Kaharwat, Chawalgam, Humshalibugh, Badroo Frisal, Malpora Akhran Mirbazar, and Manzgam.
Matters of public importance, including eradication of drug abuse, food adulteration, and traffic congestion, were discussed during these meetings. Speaking on the occasion, the chairing officers expressed that such gatherings are organized to seek suggestions and garner support from the public for improved policing. They extended their gratitude to the attendees for actively participating and providing valuable input. Addressing the highlighted issues, the officers assured that prompt action would be taken, with necessary support from the police force when required, for the overall betterment of society.
Participants were emphatically urged to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order in their areas. Additionally, they were encouraged to identify any anti-national and anti-social elements attempting to disrupt the peaceful environment.
