Recognizing the unique challenges posed by the geography, the initiative underscored the importance of vehicle operators exercising extra caution. The campaign emphasized discouraging overloading, preventing over speeding, and dissuading the use of mobile phones while driving. The proactive involvement of the community, especially school children, highlighted a collective commitment to ensuring road safety in Doda.
The inaugural ceremony showcased community engagement and also unveiled a comprehensive set of safety measures specifically designed for hilly areas.
In addition to avoiding overloading, overspeeding, and mobile phone use, the campaign emphasized regular vehicle maintenance, adherence to traffic signals, and the use of reflective gear during low visibility. The month-long celebration aims to instill a culture of responsible driving, creating safer roads for all residents of Doda.
During the road safety campaign organized by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda, students from various government and private schools actively participated Carrying banners showcasing road safety precautions, students disseminated guidelines to the public and raised slogans promoting traffic awareness. The opening ceremony featured the presence of officers and officials from the MVD Doda, with ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta emphasizing safety measures for both commercial and personal drivers. The call was clear – adherence to traffic rules and regulations, with special attention to safety measures while driving in hilly areas. ARTO Doda urged the public and students to not only follow traffic rules themselves but also spread the message for a safer driving environment.
