Prabhari Officer presides over VBSY prog in Surankote

Poonch: Prabhari Officer, Director, Union Ministry for Mines, Mushtaq Ahmad, Monday presided over a Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra (VBSY) program held at JNV, Surankote.

The event was aimed at saturating all government schemes and enhancing awareness among the local population regarding government schemes.

The Prabari Officer along with President MC Surankote and Deputy Commissioner Poonch inspected stalls set up by various government departments showcasing schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, health, animal husbandry, social welfare, handicraft, handloom and other wings. He interacted with the officers, and reviewed progress achieved, so far, under different schemes on ground.

During “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session, various beneficiaries spoke regarding their achievements under different government schemes and flagship programmes.

TalatParvezRohella, Commissioner Enquiries, J&K, was also present on the occasion.

The Prabari Officer and Commissioner handed over keys of houses to beneficiaries under PMAY (U) and cheques of Mobilization Advance to BLC beneficiaries.

The arrival of Viksit Bharat Yatra Van symbolized government’s commitment towards continuous public welfare and improved facilities at the grassroots level. The participants listened keenly to the recorded message of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

While addressing the gathering, the Director emphasized the Prime Minister’s vision behind the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra of ensuring widespread awareness among rural masses, reaching the unreached population, and facilitating the utilization of government welfare schemes.

The Prabhari Officer appreciated the people of Poonch and the district administration for successfully conducting the VBSY program across all gram panchayats besides Municipal Council and Committees of the district. He asked the officers to set targets and aim for achieving them within a fixed timeline. He emphasised on saturation of all schemes to achieve the objective of VBSY campaign.

The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary, ADDC, Sandesh Kumar Sharma, CEO Tourism, CPO and other districts officers.
