DG BSF reviews operational duties of troops in Jammu, calls on LG Sinha

Jammu: The Director General Border Security Force, Nitin Agrawal on Wednesday reviewed operational preparedness and duties of troops deployed along the International Border.
The DG is on two-day visit to Jammu Frontier.
He also called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and briefed him on security scenario.
The BSF spokesman said that DG Agarwal arrived at Jammu Frontier on a two days visit to review the security scenario of Jammu International Border.
He was welcomed by IG D K Boora, Jammu frontier and other senior officers.
IG Boora briefed DG BSF at Frontier covering all the critical aspects of Border Security and domination by BSF on Jammu IB.
He called on Lt Governor UT Manoj on Tuesday evening, he said.
The spokesman said that DG BSF on Wednesday morning visited R S Pura border area where he was briefed by Sector Commander and Battalion Commandants.
He was informed about operational duties and related aspect troops are facing bravely on border in R S Pura area.
The DG was also updated about the all-round domination strategy of BSF on the IB.
During the visit he interacted with jawans and praised them for performing duties with dedication and professionalism, he said.
