2 drug peddlers arrested in Bla,Contraband substances also recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said a police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO Police Station Chandoosa at a checkpoint established at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa, intercepted two suspicious persons identified as Sakib Rashid S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Kanispora & Zeeshan Ali S/o Ali Mohammad Malik R/o Delina Baramulla and during search recovered 60 grams of Charas like contraband substance the possession of the said accused who were arrested and shifted to Police Station Chandoosa where they remained in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chandoosa besides which further investigations into the case have been also initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
