Kour directs saturation of all schemes to achieve objective of VBSY campaign
Budgam : Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kour, on Tuesday presided over a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) program and chaired a Public Darbar at Higher Secondary School in Magam.
On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary inspected stalls, installed by different departments to showcase their products and raise awareness generation regarding different schemes and flagship initiatives.
After taking stock of activities being conducted through the VBSY Van, the Commissioner Secretary also administered Sankalp pledge to the officers and other participants on the occasion.
While addressing the public darbar, the Commissioner Secretary also listened to the general public, PRIs and senior citizens from different wards and Panchayats of Magam and other blocks of Budgam, who raised their issues and demands for redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, Mandeep Kour stressed on creating awareness on all government schemes and flagship programmes among the general public. She emphasised on saturation of all schemes to achieve the objective of VBSY campaign.
The Commissioner Secretary said that VBSY van which shall travelling through all panchayats and urban areas shall immensely help in creating massive awareness on schemes through screening of pre- recorded films and videos.
After listening to public demands, the Commissioner Secretary assured them that all their genuine grievances shall be taken up with concerned departments for early redressal.
She directed concerned officers to ensure prompt service delivery and early disposal of public grievances.
During the nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Centre’s flagship schemes, a series of activities including skits, cultural events, singing of Swacchta song and other related programmes.
The participants welcomed VBSY Van with much enthusiasm and watched screening of Prime Minister’s message and other movies aiming at awareness generation on Central Government’s initiatives for public welfare.
Some achievers were also felicitated for their exemplary work in different fields during the programme.

Grand welcome of VBS Yatra witnessed at Handwara, Mega event held at Chinar Park
Kupwara : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), the nationwide campaign to spread awareness about govt. Welfare schemes witnessed grand welcome in the Municipal areas of Handwara on Tuesday. A mega event was organized at Chinar Park Handwara where scintillating cultural performances were presented by local artists and students which captivated the attention of the audience.
SP Handwara,Dawood Ibrahim; President MC Handwara, Abdul Majeed Pandith; Tehsildar Handwara, Shahbaaz Ahmad Akhoon; Executive Officer Handwara Municipality, Naveed Ajaz; EXen R&B Handwara, Farooq Ahmad Shah Dy. Medical Superintendent, DH Handwara,Dr.Ijaz Ahmad Bhat, and other sub divisional level officers and officials were present.
ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmed Mir, inspected the stalls and interacted with beneficiaries and officials to receive their feedback. Participants took the Viksit Bharat pledge to make India a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047.
While addressing the gathering, ADC highlighted the achievements and benefits of the various flagship schemes of the Government of India directed towards realizing the ultimate goal of Vikshit Bharat.
ADC said that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a vibrant campaign, is aimed to ensure 100% saturation of welfare schemes. It is the largest-ever outreach initiative of the Government of India.
As part of the VBS yatra, various government departments had set up stalls at the venue to provide citizens on the spot services like free health checkups, facility to get new Aadhaar cards, Golden cads issued or the existing ones updated besides spreading awareness about different schemes and scores of people were on Tuesday benefitted.
Under the campaign, specially designed IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) van imparted awareness among the general public about various developmental initiatives taken by the Government of India.
Services like free health checkups, on-spot facility to get Aadhaar cards issued and also to update existing cards at the venue were offered to the people.
Beneficiaries of various departmental schemes under Meri Kahani Meri Zubani presented their success stories and shared their experiences urging the people to come forward and take benefit of different welfare schemes.
Meanwhile, People in other wards of Handwara Municipal Committee including Banday Mohalla, Herpora, Chopan Mohalla, Shaheen Colony, Khanbal II, Dureshpora, Bagatpora, Kachiwari, Chotipora, Gonipora, Braripora and Braripora II, accorded a rousing welcome to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The VBSY Vans in these wards were welcomed by the Swagat Committees and prominent citizens. The event witnessed active participation from various departments, showcasing their achievements and services.
VBS Yatra covers 5 more Panchayats of block Kangan
Ganderbal : As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a special IEC Van rreached five more Panchayats of block Kangan on Tuesday amid a warm welcome by the locals and the PRI members.
With its primary focus on saturating Government schemes and enhancing public awareness, the Yatra covered Hayan Palpora, Cherwan-A, Cherwan-B, Arigoripora and Chattergul-A Panchayats on Tuesday.
The van, which is equipped with a LED screen and a sound system, displayed the video message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he has urged the people to take a pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The people present in these panchayts took the Sankalp pledge and expressed their commitment to the cause.
During the event, a health camp was also organised by the health department, where free screening for non-communicable diseases was done.
Representatives of the line departments explained the various schemes and programmes run by the government for the public welfare. They also distributed pamphlets, calendars and brochures to the people and answered their queries.
On the occasion, the beneficiaries of different schemes narrated the benefits availed from respective schemes under ‘Meri Kahaani Meri Zubaani’.

DC reviews progress of VBS Yatra, scheme saturation in Udhampur
Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, conducted a comprehensive meeting at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, to assess the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign and the saturation of centrally sponsored government schemes in the district.
During the meeting, DC provided a detailed update on the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s progress and emphasized its primary objectives, focusing on saturating all relevant schemes in the Udhampur district.

Ramban: The Vikshit Sankalp Bharat Yatra is making waves as it enters the final phase in Ramban, making centrally sponsored schemes more accessible to the local community.
