Pulwama : Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a dynamic initiative dedicated to comprehensive development, has reached a significant juncture in Pulwama District.
Continuing its transformative journey from rural expanses to urban hubs, the Yatra reached a pivotal moment with a program held on Friday within the limits of Municipal Committee Awantipora at Marriage Hall Awantipora.
The event witnessed substantial participation, underscoring the Yatra’s commitment to inclusivity. Rooted in its principles of saturating Government schemes and fostering public awareness, VBSY has effectively bridged the gap between Government initiatives and the public.
Various departments had set up informative stalls, showcasing the tangible benefits of Government schemes. On-the-spot services provided practical insights into the implementation of these schemes, reinforcing the Yatra’s dedication to connecting initiatives with the people they are designed to benefit.
A noteworthy feature of the day was the collective Sankalp pledge, embodying the spirit behind this transformative journey. During the Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani segment, beneficiaries shared poignant stories illustrating how Government schemes had profoundly transformed their lives.
Calendars, serving as visual testimonials to the positive impact of Government initiatives, were distributed among attendees. The event was further enriched by captivating cultural performances, encapsulating the essence and spirit of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The program was attended by ADC Awantipora, Tehsildar Awantipora, and other District and Sectoral officers, who highlighted the Yatra’s success in ensuring the saturation of various Government schemes across the district.

VBSY: SMC expands reach to 4 more Wards
Srinagar : Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to community progress, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has elevated its efforts in fostering development within the city by successfully extending the reach of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) to four additional wards.
The latest phase of the Yatra encompassed Ward No. 29 (Magarmal Bagh), Ward No.30 (Jawahar Nagar), Ward No. 31 (Chanpora), and Ward No.32 (Baghat).
This initiative aims to bring the benefits of various government welfare schemes closer to the residents of these areas.
The VBSY initiative encompasses a diverse array of events designed to engage and assist the community. Notably, “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” provided a platform for beneficiaries to share their success stories and experience with the various government welfare schemes.
Additionally, free health check-ups, Aadhar card registration, and the generation/registration of Ayushman cards were made available, ensuring convenient access for those in need.
Throughout the program, an IEC van showcased informative short films spotlighting key welfare initiatives, including PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradan Mantari Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and more.

VBS Yatra continues in Kupwara distt, 11 more Panchayats of Sogam block covered
Kupwara : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), continuing its impactful journey is traversing through different Panchayats of frontier Kupwara district with unwavering momentum.
Impactful VBSY on Friday unfolded in 11 Panchayats Halqas of Sogam Block which included Krusan, Lalpora A, Lalpora B, Lalpora C, Lalpora D, Lalpora E, Muqam Dardepora, Rednag, Saiwan, Sogam A and Sogam B.
Despite cold weather conditions, an overwhelming public participation was witnessed at the venues of VBSY.
Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans traversed through several Panchayats on Friday disseminating information about various beneficiary oriented schemes among the public.
Officers and field functionaries from different government departments actively engaged with the public, creating awareness about welfare schemes. Under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani,’ beneficiaries of different schemes shared their success stories, adding a personal touch to the transformative impact of these initiatives.
Furthermore, local residents had the opportunity to access healthcare services, including screenings for various ailments through various health camps conducted during these events.

VBS Yatra Sparks enthusiasm, awareness across Kathua
Kathua: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), an initiative to spread awareness about the flagship schemes of the government and to showcase the transformation brought about by these initiatives, has been propelling empowerment in Kathua.
The yatra traversed through Panchayats Mahi Chak, Boura, Nihalpur and Terhera in Block Barnoti besides Dungara Lower, Dungara Upper in Block Mandli. The Yatra has been successful in bringing change and transformation in the lives of people in these areas by empowering them through awareness about a range of government schemes and programs.
During the Yatra, Viksit Bharat Rath, an IEC van was used to disseminate information about various government schemes, which has helped increase awareness among the masses.

VBS Yatra: IEC Van Traverses through Panchayats of Dhangri , Rajouri blocks
Rajouri : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra IEC Van on Friday traversed through the Panchayats of Sankari, Kotedhera, Nagrota Mehra, Nagrota Saldar, Badhoon-B, Badhoon-A, Kalalkass-A, Kalalkass-B of Rajouri and Dhangri blocks in Rajouri District.
The 72-day outreach and awareness campaign aims to promote government schemes and their implementation within a specific timeframe.
The program intends to provide the benefits of these schemes to all the intended beneficiaries.
The primary objective of the yatra is to disseminate vital information and create awareness about various government schemes, ensuring that every deserving individual or community is well-informed and included.
A key aspect of the yatra is to facilitate direct interaction between the government and the beneficiaries. By sharing personal stories and experiences, this program provides a platform for individuals to voice their needs, concerns, and aspirations. This two-way communication not only helps the government gain a better understanding of the ground realities but also enables the identification and enrollment of potential beneficiaries based on the information gathered during the yatra.
The Viksit Bharat Yatra focuses on a range of schemes targeted at both urban and rural areas. In urban areas, the yatra highlights schemes such as PM Svanidhi, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Start-up India/Stand-up India, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Urban), SBM (Urban), PM eBus Sewa, AMRUT, PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadi Pariyojana, Ujjala Yojana, Subhagya Yojana, Digital Payment Infrastructure, Khelo India, RCS: UDAN, Vande Bharat Trains, and Amrit Bharat Station scheme. In rural areas, the focus is on schemes such as Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, PMGKAY, DAY-NRLM, PM Awas Yojana Rural, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan Samman, PM Vishwakarma, KCC, PM Poshan Abhiyan, JJM, and SVAMITVA.
The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ stands as a firm commitment by the government to build a prosperous and equitable India. Linguistics Deptt Cluster University celebrates Dogri Manyata Diwas under the aegis of Viksit Bharat @2047
Jammu : The Department of Linguistics & Literature, School of Humanities &Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu on Friday organized Dogri Manyata Diwas under the patronship of ble Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu,¢ Prof. Bechan Lal, to commemorate the introduction of Dogri Language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. The occasion was graced by the chief guest, Padma Shree Mohan Singh Salathia.
The programme started by lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The Dean, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Dr. Monika Sharma laid stress on the significance of the mother language of Jammu region which further exhorted the audience and students to put forth the efforts in preserving the Dogri heritage. Dr. Reena Salaria, Head, Department of Linguistics & Literature posited not only the factual and standardized particulars in consideration to the same, but also highlighted the historical and cultural significance of the Duggar ethnicity which plays a pivotal role in the lives of Dogras. The address was followed by presidential remarks by the Honble Vice Chancellor of Cluster University, Prof. Bechan Lal who stressed the need for communication in our mother tongue, for the upliftment of the Duggar heritage. The Vic¢e Chancellor stated that unless and until we don‘t uplift our languages, we won‘t be able to contribute for our culture and civilization.
The Chief Guest of the event, Padma Shree Mohan Singh Salathia focussed on the need to embrace our linguistic identity and make it a part and parcel to ignite the respect for our Duggar civilization. The address was followed by a special Kavi Goshthi in Dogri in which various students from Constituent colleges of CLUJ and Degree Colleges of Jammu participated with great zeal and vigor that left a great impact on the youngsters for the acceleration of love and respect for their mother tongue – Dogri.presented by the students of Department of Distance Education, Jammu University under the supervision of Dr. Ja¢One Act Play¢tinder Singh, was also an integral part of the event, which emphasized the necessity of preserving Dogri language and ethnicity. Furthermore, a Dogri folk danceenthralled the audience and each heart was left with the feeling of preservation of the mother tongue and its longevity.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Farooq Ahmed, faculty of Department of Linguistics and Literature and he also showcased the linguistic lab activities of the Department of Linguistics & Literature through a detailed documentary. The overall descipline was monitored by Dr. Ravi Parihar, faculty of Linguistics. It was a moment of great pride and honour for the Department as it marked the e-inaguration of Dogri dictionary generated by the students of 6th semester, Department of Linguistics & Literature by Vice Chancellor Prof. Bechan Lal.
The event was graced with the benign presence of the Deans of various faculties, Principals and Faculty members of the constituent colleges of Cluster University and Degree Colleges of Jammu. The entire event was compared by Shiwali and Ayushi – facultyof Department of Linguistics in their mother tongue Dogri.

Viksit Bharat@2047: GDC Vijaypur organises Plantation Drive
Samba : As a part of the series of program being organized under “Viksit Bharat@2047” the NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) and Eco Club (GREEN WARRIORS) of Government Degree College Vijaypur on Friday organized a plantation drive on the college campus.
Students planted saplings of different species of indigenous trees to spread out greenery on the college campus to make it pollution free. NSS volunteers and other college students participated in the drive with great enthusiasm, fervor and zeal.
The plantation drive started with an introduction to the event by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Nodal Officer, Viksit Bharat@2047. She stated that the significant move aims to contribute towards environmental conservation and nurture a sense of patriotism and pride among the college students and NSS volunteers towards our soil- a land that witnessed martyrdom of many freedom fighters.
Principal of the College, Dr. Vandana Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit and Eco club. She said that ‘together we can build a greener, healthier, and more resilient future.’
She further articulated that it’s a testament to our commitment to safeguard the environment and leave a positive impact.
The plantation drive was coordinated by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat and Dr. Manoj Heer; organized by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (Convenor, NSS and IQAC), Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener, Eco-Club) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO). Faculty members who participated in the drive were Dr. Jan Mohd. Wani, Dr. Radhika Rasyal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Tisha Singh, Dr. Neelam Kumari, Dr. Attied Khawar, Prof. Mazid Malik, Prof. Madhu Bala.

GDC Mahanpur hosts discussion on ‘Idea for Viksit Bharat @2047 : Voice of youth
Kathua : NSS Unit of Government Degree College Mahanpur organized a discussion on Idea for Viksit Bharat @2047: voice of youth here on Friday.
The event was organized under the supervision of the college Principal Dr. Sangeeta Sudan. She congratulated the students and urged them to register themselves on the www.mygov.in and share their ideas for Viksit Bharat.
As many as 40 students of the college participated in the thought provoking session.
Staff members present were Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof . Rupalee, Prof. Suman , Dr. Nishu , Sourabh Dutta, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Mohammed Sardar Bhatti and Dr. Ajay Singh Manhas along with Non teaching staff. The whole event was organised by NSS P.O Dr. Sapna Devi.

Motivational talk on Viksit Bharat@2047- Vision for India held at GCW Udhampur
Udhampur : Viksit Bharat Committee, Government College for Women(GCW), Udhampur organized a “ Motivational Talk on “Viksit Bharat @2047 – Vision for India” at college campus here on Friday.
The Programme was organised under the patronage of the Principal GCW, Udhampur, Prof Anjali Mahajan and overall Convenorship of Dr. Sanjeet Kaur, (Viksit Bharat @2047 committee).
Earlier, Prof. Shamma Rani delivered the welcome note and highlighted key aspects of the Viksit Bharat programme.
The resource person of the programme Prof. Rachna Bharti, HOD Computer Science and Prof. Pooja Bharti, HoD Geography both from GCW Udhampur.
HOD Computer Science, Prof. Rachna Bharti enlightened the students with her thoughts regarding “making India a developed country” and also described the whole procedure of registering and participating in “share your idea programme” through online mode.
Later, Prof. Pooja Bharti, HoD Geography, shared her insights on Viksit Bharat that aims to actively involve the youth in shaping India’s future by providing platforms for idea contribution across various domains and discussed ideas for India’s development with the students. She also stressed upon the role of their contribution in economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability and Good governance.
The Viksit Bharat committee member Prof. Yash Kumar from Department of Music managed the whole programme besides monitored the proceedings of the event and captured the visuals of the same.
A Total number of 81 students of the college attended the event and participated in “share your idea’’ theme on my.gov.in portal. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Pardeep Singh, HOD Education who expressed gratitude to all attendees, Committee members and guests for their valuable contributions to the event.
Among others, Dr. Sushma Choudhary HoD Dogri, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Department of Sports, Prof. Shama Rani, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, and other senior faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.

GDC Basohli hosts Slogan Writing Competition on “Viksit Bharat Shreshtha Bharat @2047”
Kathua : In a spirited display of young minds envisioning a prosperous India, Government Degree College Basohli on Friday held a slogan writing competition as part of the ongoing national campaign “Viksit Bharat Shreshtha Bharat @2047.”
Over 100 enthusiastic students participated in the event, pouring their ideas and aspirations for a developed India onto the canvas of words.
Prior to the competition, Principal of the college Dr. Nidhi Kotwal, interacted with the participants, illuminating the goals and significance of the “Viksit Bharat @2047” initiative launched by the Government of India. This interaction laid the foundation for the students to craft slogans that resonated with the campaign’s vision of building a developed and inclusive nation by 2047.
The event was organized under the dedicated leadership of the College NSS unit, guided by Dr. Roshan Lal, the NSS coordinator.

The winning slogans will be announced in a subsequent ceremony, and the top entries will be prominently displayed and shared on the college platforms to inspire and encourage the community.
Government Degree College Basohli, through this initiative, has once again reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible and patriotic citizens who actively contribute to building a brighter future for India. VBS Yatra spreads awareness on Key Govt Schemes in Reasi Distt
Reasi: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a significant initiative aimed at fostering awareness about pivotal government schemes, made its impactful presence felt in the Reasi district, spanning across five essential Panchayats Bhaga, Mahore, Kanthi B, Jerri and Tulli upper B.
The endeavor witnessed participation of different departments, who disseminated information about key government initiatives at their respective stalls.
With a dedicated focus on empowering communities through awareness, officers and officials from multiple departments engaged with general public, shedding light on vital schemes including Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), and Poshan Abhiyan.
A series of insightful development videos were screened, offering a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects and unveiling future initiatives that underscore India’s dedication to progress. Through these videos, the audience gained valuable insights into the all-around approach towards national development and the concerted efforts aimed at transforming India into a hub of growth and innovation.
The event’s vibrancy was further accentuated by interactive sessions, including a captivating drone demonstration that captivated audiences, showcasing technological advancements in governance. Adding an element of excitement and knowledge-sharing, an on-the-spot quiz competition was organized, fostering engagement and a spirit of learning among students.

Udhampur: VBS Yatra covers 2 Panchayats on Day 27
Udhampur: On the 27th day of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the campaign covers 02 more Panchayats—Rathian West and Chapper-A in Udhampur and Latti-Marothi Blocks.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from all stakeholders, effectively disseminating information about government welfare schemes and enhancing public awareness.
The day’s activities featured health camps, Sankalp pledges, and outreach initiatives in these Panchayats, offering on-the-spot services to the community. The primary objective of this outreach initiative is to empower citizens as active contributors to the country’s development.

Distt Committee selects beneficiaries for PM Matsya Sampada Yojana in Kathua
Kathua : District Level Committee (DLC) for Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) met here on Friday in the DC Office Complex to finalize the list of beneficiaries for the financial assistance provided under the scheme.
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Minhas the meeting was attended by key officials including CPO, ACD, CAO and representatives from allied Departments. The meeting focused on crucial decisions regarding the selection of beneficiaries.
At the outset, the Assistant Director Fisheries presented a comprehensive overview of PMMSY. Out of the total allocation of 2 Auto Rickshaws (with Ice Box) for Kathua district, one was designated under the general category while the other fell under the SC category. The applications received stood at 04 for the general category and 01 for the SC category.
A fair and transparent draw of lots for the general category beneficiaries was conducted in the presence of all members.
During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner engaged directly with the selected beneficiaries, encouraging them to diligently capitalize on the opportunities provided by government schemes. He further emphasized on the non-selectees to explore avenues such as the PM Vishvakarma scheme, urging them to enroll for further empowerment.
The meeting concluded on a note of proactive engagement, ensuring the efficient execution of schemes while inspiring beneficiaries to harness various government initiatives for their holistic advancement.

From Poverty to Prosperity: VBS Yatra unravels Prabha Khurana’s Journey of Financial Empowerment with UMEED
Kathua : Prabha Khurana, a resilient & determined resident of the Kathua town, shared a remarkable success story of her group catalyzed by the UMEED.
The triumphant odyssey of Prabha and her group resonated at Meri Kahani Meri Zubani Segment of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. UMEED, a government initiative, gave wings to their dreams by providing much needed financial empowerment.
Prabha and her group were struggling to make ends meet and lacked the resources and support needed to assuage themselves from difficult circumstances. They yearned for an opportunity that would enable them to break free from the cycle of poverty and dependency. Little did they know that their lives were about to transform with the intervention of the UMEED program.
Through the UMEED program, Prabha and her group were provided with extensive training, mentorship, and financial assistance to establish their own small businesses. The program not only empowered them with the necessary skills and knowledge but also instilled confidence and self-belief in their abilities to succeed.
Prabha and her group decided to venture into the world of handicrafts as they had a passion for creating beautiful artisanal pieces. They established a small cooperative where each member contributed their unique skills and talents, resulting in exquisite handcrafted items.
With the support of the UMEED program, Prabha and her group received guidance on marketing, branding, and setting up distribution channels for their products. They attended workshops and trade fairs, gradually gaining recognition and exposure in the market.
Their determination and hard work soon paid off as their handmade products started gaining popularity not only within their community but also across neighboring towns. They received orders from various boutique stores and even had the opportunity to display their creations at national exhibitions.
As their business grew, so did their revenues. The financial empowerment they experienced was life-changing for Prabha and her group. They were able to provide a better future for their families, educate their children, and improve their overall quality of life.
Prabha proudly recounts how the UMEED program has not only transformed their financial status but also given them a sense of purpose and dignity. They now feel empowered and confident in their abilities to overcome any hurdle that comes their way.
