Pulwama : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a continuous journey that embarked on the 25th of November, has triumphantly traversed the entirety of Pulwama, leaving an indelible mark of progress and awareness. The Yatra, true to its name, has not only acquainted the populace with various Government schemes but has also ensured the saturation of these initiatives, reaching every corner to fulfill the motto of “leaving no one behind.”

VBS Yatra continues in frontier distt Kupwara with massive public participation

Kupwara: Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra, a transformative initiative aimed at reaching the unreached and saturating government schemes, continues in frontier Kupwara district with massive public participation.
On Tuesday, 11 Panchayats of Wavoora block were covered under VBSY. With this, 331 Panchayats, out of a total of 385 Panchayats of the district, have been covered to date under the campaign in which more than 1, 50,000 people have participated.
A mega event of VBSY was organized on Tuesday at PanchayatGhar, Khurhama -A, which was presided over by the Regional Director, Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, Dr. Abishek.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Public, PRIs and Officers, highlighting the success of various beneficiary-oriented schemes.
The Regional Director, while thanking People, public representatives and Officers of District administration, emphasized that ‘Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra is a collective effort to ensure no one is left behind and every individual benefits from government schemes. He impressed upon people to take benefit of PM Jan Arogya, Ayushman golden card, ABHA card and other facilities provided by the health department.
He expressed confidence that the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra would leave no gaps in reaching its objectives with the collective efforts of the public and government departments.
On the occasion, the Vice Chairman of District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Mir, reiterated that Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra is a program for the people. He underscored the goal of achieving a developed Bharat by 2047 and urged both the public and departments to seize this opportunity. Haji Farooq Mir, while congratulating the people, said that Lolab Valley has been awarded as the “Best Offbeat destination in India.
He said that Lolab valley is full of scenic beauty, dense forests, and wild life, making it a favorite tourist destination. He urged that the tourism potential of Lolab needs to be tapped so that unemployed youth can earn their livelihood. Haji demanded remunerations for AWWs, ASHAs and GRSs at par with other states of the country. On the occasion, he urged the Union Health Ministry to upgrade Sub District Hospital Kupwara to the District Level Hospital, considering the vast area which it caters.
Earlier, Chairman of the Convergence Committee (BDO Wavoora), Touheed Ahmad, presented a welcome address ( Swagat) to the dignitaries and participants of viksit Bharat SankalpYatra and administered the Viksit pledge to the participants, which resonated with commitment as participants vowed to contribute to the transformative journey.
The program commenced with the earnest message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister followed by Cultural performances and skits by the students which added vibrancy to the event, showcasing the rich folk traditions of the region.
BDC Wavoora, Ch, attended the mega event at Khurhama A. RafiqKatarya, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ACP Kupwara, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad, SDM Lolab, IJaz Ahmad Bhat, CMO Kupwara, Dr. Ramzan and other district and Sectoral officers, PRIs and public.
ViksitBhartSamparkYatra was also organized in other Panchayats of Block Wavoora. The IEC Vans of VBSY traversed through these various Panchayats to screen the Prime Minister’s message and to generate awareness on the Central Government’s initiatives for public welfare.
The line departments displayed products and provided on-the-spot services to the general public at the stalls. During the event, women and other achievers were also felicitated for their exemplary work in their respective fields. Local participants also availed health services including screening for various ailments at the mega event.

5- Day ‘Vibrant Bhaderwah Winter Festival’ starting from Dec 27
Film Festival among delightful events planned at Bhaderwah Fort, Jae Valley, Guldanda, & Gatha Park
Bhaderwah: To give district Doda, particularly Bhaderwah its due share and place in the tourism map of the county and to promote district’s rich culture, tap the potential of adventure activities, religious and eco-tourism, District Administration, in collaboration with Tourism department and private stakeholders, is going to host a 5-day Vibrant Bhaderwah Winter Festival from December 27 to 31st.
Delightful activities have been planned at picturesque destinations like Qilla (Fort), Jae Valley, Guldanda, & Gatha Park where the visitor would also have a taste of local cuisines.
In this regard, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Harvinder Singh on Tuesday chaired a crucial meeting with the stakeholders in the meeting hall of Dakbunglow Bhaderwah and finalised the activities and arrangements for the Gala event.
It was informed that 5-day festival will be celebrated at different locations, giving visitors a chance to enjoy in the full length and up to the level of contentment. On the 27th of December, the festival shall take-off from Bhaderwah Fort, where cultural activities, performance by local artists, music, sports activities, local food and stalls showcasing local products shall be centre of attraction. On day 2- December 28 , the picturesque Jae Valley will come alive with music, fun and adventure sports activities like Zipline, Paragliding, ATV ride, Horse ride, Zorbing, Trekking etc.
On the third and fourth day (29th and 30th of December) the scene will shift to Guldanda to give tourists a different taste amid snow and fun. There visitors can enjoy snow skiing, snow games, snow scooter ride, music, local food and zorbing, etc. The last day of the year 2023 and the fifth day of festival on 31st of December will have never before pleasure at Gatha Park in Bhaderwah, where Celebrity Artists and Singers will perform throughout the day till mid night to welcome new year 2024 with renewed energy, enthusiasm, and resolution. A parallel Film Festival has been planned at Community Centre Bhaderwah, where latest Bollywood movies and stories of local heroes shall be screened for the locals and the tourists during all days of the festival ( 27th to 31st of December).
Bhaderwah, an emerging tourist destination is witnessing the arrival of a huge number of tourists from across the country and abroad, throughout the year reflecting its huge potential to become the most favoured destination in the country. Asikini Bhaderkashi Utsav, New year celebrations, Yoga Festival at Jae Valley, Lal Draman Summer Festival, and Youthon-2023 have proved the worth and potential of the district, when thousands of visitors converged in these festivals. This year more than 6.5 lakh tourists have visited Bhaderwah Valley, which speaks a lot about its potential in the tourism industry.
DDC Harvinder Singh has issued directions to ensure safety and convenience, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to deliver a memorable and hassle-free experience to the visitors during the festival. The anticipated winter festival aims to draw a significant number of tourists, providing a platform to promote local talent, craftsmanship, and cuisine. The event is poised to feature diverse cultural performances, adventure sports, local handicraft exhibitions, and enticing food stalls. DDC Doda expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming winter carnival. He urged both locals and tourists to actively participate and contribute to its success. He further encouraged the tourism department and local stakeholders to make necessary arrangements, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Kathua : In a resounding display of community engagement and empowerment, Chairman DDC Mahan Singh led a pivotal awareness camp during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Panchayat Plahi in Basohli on Tuesday. The event witnessed the presence of Sarpanch Poli Devi and a large number of enthusiastic locals, underscoring a collective commitment towards holistic rural development.
The event, presided over by Chairman DDC Mahan Singh, marked a significant milestone in the pursuit of comprehensive progress across rural India. With an unwavering focus on awareness and education, the camp served as a platform to advocate and amplify the visionary message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Not confining the impact to a singular location, similar impactful activities reverberated across various panchayats, including Panchayat Falote-1, Barwal-East, Barwal-West, and Uttri in Block Barnoti. VBS Yatra empowers communities across Darhal, Thanamandi & Manjakote blocks
Rajouri : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on Tuesday visited the Panchayats of Darhal, Thanamandi, and Manjakote blocks of the Border District Rajouri.
The VBSY IEC vans traveled through the Panchayats of Lower Dodaj-B, Lower Dodaj-C, Upper Dodaj-A, Upper Dodaj-B, Leeran, Malhut, Karyote, Dreari, and Deri Ralyote Lower of Darhal, Thanamandi, and Manjakote blocks.
The yatra is making significant strides in Rajouri by spearheading the implementation of different government schemes and fostering comprehensive development in the district.
To effectively communicate and raise awareness about these initiatives, an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van has been deployed as an integral part of the Yatra. This mobile communication platform has played a crucial role in engaging with local communities and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to benefit from government schemes.
The VBSY has achieved remarkable success in implementing various government schemes in Rajouri District. Fostering passenger safety: CCTV cameras installed in commercial vehicles in Doda
Doda : In a proactive step towards enhancing road safety, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, conducted an inspection to oversee the installation of CCTV cameras in the commercial passenger vehicles, initiated by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in Doda, under the directions of Road Safety Committee Doda. The significant initiative focuses on equipping passenger vehicles with dash cameras to ensure the safety of travelers during their journeys.
The installation of dash cameras is part of a strict measure taken by the district administration Doda to address the issue of rash and careless driving by commercial drivers. This move aims to curb the prevalence of accidents and promote responsible driving practices. During the installation event, ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and officials from the Motor Vehicles Department were present to witness and support the implementation of this safety measure.
Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh expressed confidence in the effectiveness of this initiative in reducing accidents. He highlighted the significance of the dash cameras, stating that they would play a crucial role in tracing incidents of negligence by drivers, thereby preventing mishaps on the roads. VBS Yatra unveils cultural splendor at Vijaypur
Samba : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra made a resplendent mark at Ward Vijaypur, in presence of DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt Sharma and senior political leader Ravinder Raina.
The event aimed at creating awareness and ensuring saturation of Government schemes, unfolded with patriotic fervor amid the recitation of the National Anthem.
The opening ceremony commenced with an impactful IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) van playing a message from the Honorable Prime Minister, captivating the attention of the local residents and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) who listened attentively.
As a part of the comprehensive awareness drive, a documentary screening was organized to educate citizens about the various flagship schemes. This initiative aims to empower communities by ensuring they are well-informed about the government’s programs and policies.
Adding a touch of cultural brilliance to the event, mesmerizing performances were showcased under the theme ‘Dharti Kahe Pukaar Ke.’ The performances celebrated the spirit of the land, weaving together the rich tapestry of our diverse heritage.
The highlight of the program was the segment titled ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani,’ where beneficiaries shared their success stories. This session served as a platform to share the positive impact of government initiatives on the lives of individuals, fostering a sense of pride and community.
An interactive session with beneficiaries allowed for a direct exchange of experiences and insights, deepening the connection between the administration and the local populace. Additionally, on-the-spot services and health camps were organized to address immediate needs and concerns of the community.
DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt Sharma expressed his satisfaction over the active participation and engagement of the community. Ravinder Raina also applauded the organizers for bringing together a diverse range of activities that contribute to the holistic development of the region.
The occasion was graced by the presence of SDM Vijaypur Rajesh Kumar, BDO Vijaypur Abhilav Mahajan, EX Municipal Chairman Bachan Lal and other officials.

Transport Comr participates in VBS Yatra in Ramban
Ramban : Transport Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Sharma on Tuesday participated in the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) at Dharam in Ramban District, encouraging public engagement in the developmental process.
The Yatra, covering 116 panchayats in the district, witnessed a successful leg as it reached Panchayat Dharam under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
The IEC van, adorned with messages of progress, received a grand welcome, setting the stage for a day filled with information, interaction, and inspiration. The program kicked off with a video message from the Prime Minister, urging all present to pledge towards building a self-reliant India by 2047.
Rahul Sharma, along with other officers, inspected stalls showcasing initiatives by various departments, emphasizing diverse efforts to improve lives. Hailing overwhelming participation, he reiterated the Prime Minister’s vision and urged active public engagement, encouraging dissemination of the Yatra’s message.
The Transport Commissioner highlighted the importance of promotion of job-oriented schemes, urging youth to become job providers. Stressing quality education, he emphasized its role in paving the way for diverse career options. Terming drug abuse a colossal challenge, he urged youth to actively participate in sports for a healthy mind and body.
Cultural performances by local students and felicitation of sports persons with achievements at national and state levels added vibrancy to the event. The Social Welfare Department distributed blankets among need, and health-related schemes were highlighted. A health camp organised under the supervision of BMO Gool offered screenings and counseling, with free medicines.
The event witnessed the participation of local leaders, including Chairperson BDC Dharam, Javeed Ahmed Manhas, and Sarpanch Muneera Begum.
SDM Gool, Tanveer-Ul-Majid, CMO, ACD Ashok Katoch, Dr. Kamal Zadu, ARTO Saminder Singh, BDO Gundi-Dharam, Tanzeel Runyal, and other officers graced the occasion. The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues to be a catalyst for positive change, fostering awareness and community engagement.

VBS Yatra connects underserved population to public services in Reasi Distt
Reasi : To cover a maximum number of beneficiaries of several Central Government schemes by reaching them directly, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van on Tuesday reached 6 panchayat of Bhaber Brhamana, Dera Baba Banda, Mahore, Mahore lower, Bidda and Talwara Upper of Reasi district.
The Van having information, education, and communication (IEC) materials like pamphlets, and booklets on the various central government schemes reached these places as per a pre-defined schedule. The Van, equipped with a sound system and digital LED screen, showcased videos of the Prime Minister’s address, videos of beneficiaries and some other small awareness movies.
During the event, attendees took the Sankalp (pledge) in line with the vision of the Viksit Bharat campaign. Earlier on its arrival, the Yatra was enthusiastically welcomed at these Panchayats. The local People and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and government officials attended the events at the respective location amid a dynamic mélange of events and initiatives.
As the program unfolded, the functionaries interacted with the locals and provided information about different flagship government schemes and initiatives. Free medical camps were held to provide free health services to the local people at their doorsteps.
The Yatra has been rolled out with the intention to reach out to the unreached population and make the general masses aware of the multitude of government schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana and Urea Subsidy Scheme and the process to avail benefits.
