Kulgam: The Director Jal Jeevan Mission, -II, Ranjit Kumar who is also Prabhari Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) for district Kulgam, on Saturday visited Kulgam and participated in VBSY at Panchayat Halqa Katrasoo.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat; ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather; ACD Mohammad Imran and other officers and officials of line departments also attended the programme.
The programme witnessed overwhelming participation of PRI members, locals and students.
On the occasion, stalls were set up by various departments to aware the people about their schemes and programmes besides on spot registration counters were also set up by the departments.
The Prabhari Officer interacted with the PRIs and locals, besides taking feedback from beneficiaries about implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in Kulgam district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prabhari Officer expressed confidence in the positive impact of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and reiterated that the government is committed towards the holistic development of the district.
‘Hamaara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge was taken by the participants and video messages of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and other promotional videos were also screened on an IEC van in presence of the Prabhari Officer.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes.
He also highlighted the impact and benefits of reaching out to the people with various government schemes.
The students also presented colourful and scintillating cultural programmes and theme based skits were also presented.
Later, the Prabhari Officer felicitated Pani Samiti members with Abinandhan Patra for coverage of all households in these villages with piped drinking water.
VBSY gains momentum in Kupwara, over 81k people participate across 232 Gram Panchayats
Kupwara : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a nationwide campaign has gained momentum in frontier Kupwara district by making a transformative impact across the district.
22 Panchayats of Kupwara and Hayhama blocks covered on Saturday under VBSY included Nagri, Gushi A, Mougalpora, Shatpora, Nagri Malpora B, Hatmulla, Halmatpora-B, Batergam, Bohipora, Karihama-A, Zangli, Tikker, Gushi B, Dedikoot, Halmatpora-A, Qasba Hayhama, Sohipora, Karihama-B, Pazipora, Bubernag, Halmatpora- C and Salkoot.
As part of the campaign, the IEC vans reached different Panchayats on Saturday amid a warm welcome by the Officers, PRIs and people. The VBSY Vans conveyed the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. The vans displayed a video message of the PM, urging the people to take a pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The people present at the event took pledge and expressed their commitment for the cause.
Representatives of the line departments also presented their stalls and explained the various schemes and programmes run by the government for the public welfare. They also distributed pamphlets and brochures to the people and answered their queries.
At Mugalpora Panchayat, the VBSY event hosted at the Government High School Gund- Gushi witnessed active participation from various departments and Public, contributing to the success of the yatra.
Similarly, a large gathering participated in Gushi A, Karihama A, Babaernag, Salkote, Bohipora Zangli, Pazipora, Halmatpora C and other panchayats where impactful activities under the campaign were undertaken.
Under the guidance of Block Development Officer, Kupwara, the yatra offered on-the-spot services to the villagers in different Panchayats.
Health camps, Sankalp Pledge ceremonies, sports activities, and insightful awareness sessions conducted by dedicated officials on their respective departmental schemes were among the various highlights of the program.
Innovative Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans, traversed these Panchayats, engaging residents and disseminating valuable information about Government initiatives. People were educated by the officials equipped with computers, biometric authentication machines, and information bulletin pamphlets. Various services like on spot Aadhar authentication and KYC updation, were provided to the beneficiaries on spot.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, kick-started on November 21 from Kuligam- A Panchayt Halqa of Wavoora block is continuing its impactful stride across Kupwara District, marking a significant leap forward in driving, progress and inclusive development.
Out of total 385 Panchayats, 232 Panchayats have been covered under VBSY till date, where more than 81,500 people have participated.
In VBSY events, Health authorities have screened 7264 persons for NCD and 3742 for TB. During the campaign 1930, Ayushman cards and 2113 KCCs were distributed.

Shopian : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the center’s flagship schemes, was on Saturday organised in 6 Panchayats of Zainapora and Herman blocks of Shopian district.
IEC vans, equipped with audio-visual equipment and LED walls, travelled through these Panchayats, ensuring every Panchayat received information about Government achievements and welfare programmes.
This is an effort to cover those who are still not aware of the schemes, said the speakers while highlighting the benefits of centrally sponsored schemes.

Kathua: Mohan Lal, a hardworking and resilient individual from Village Borthain, Block Barnoti in Kathua had seen his fair share of struggles. One of the biggest challenges that he and his fellow villagers faced was the lack of proper sanitation facilities.
For years, the villagers had to cope with the inconvenience and unhygienic conditions due to the absence of toilets in their homes. They had to resort to open defecation, which not only posed health risks but also infringed upon their dignity. At Panchayat Bhagwah upper-A, the event witnessed screening of PM’s Message, welcome of viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra van, holding of health checkup camp by health department, SHC card distribution by agriculture department and cultural activities. The quiz competition was also conducted during the event.

Kishtwar: In a momentous display of fervor Andi civic commitment, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra drew an impressive turnout on Saturday when the Yatra sets it’s foot in the urban areas of Kishtwar including the town and it’s adjoining areas.
An enthusiastic crowd converged at the prestigious Chowgan Ground amid the arrival of the dedicated VBSY’s IEC Van, heralding a pivotal moment in community engagement and awareness.
The event aligned with the “Kishtwar Festival” organised by Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with the District Administration.
Over 5000 citizens, representing diverse backgrounds and professions, actively participated in the event and gained profound insights into the impact of Centrally Sponsored Schemes through engaging IEC activities.
Complementing the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, ADDC, Sham Lal along with other district and Sectoral officers attended the event. Informative IEC material was distributed among the attendees, enhancing their understanding of these pivotal initiatives.

VBS Yatra lights up Reasi Distt with progress and celebration
Reasi: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) marked a significant milestone as it expanded its reach, encompassing six additional Panchayats in the Blocks of Reasi district.
The vibrant and celebratory event illuminated the spirit of progress through colorful cultural displays and the sharing of inspirational success stories from beneficiaries, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
The event was elevated by an effective Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign, where a specialized van traversed through nine more Panchayats, Dharti, treen Mayari, Tuli Lower A, Tuli Lower B, Kanthan, Kanthan A, Danga Kote, Tote.
The campaign was instrumental in enlightening the local community about centrally sponsored schemes designed to promote welfare, employment, insurance, social security, and income generation.
A spectrum of activities awaited visitors at the event venues, with Audio-Video sessions facilitated through IEC Vans equipped with LEDs, creating an engaging platform for disseminating crucial information.
