Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has successfully apprehended a black marketeer involved in the illegal sale of petroleum products in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party led by SHO Police Station Tangmarg arrested shopkeeper identified as Shabir Ahmad Parray S/o Gh Ahmad R/o Drooru Tangmarg for his involvement in selling Petroleum products at exorbitant rates at his shop at Tangmarg Baramulla and during his search, 210 litres of Diesel were recovered from his shop, adding therein that the said accused has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Stating that the police has registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Tangmarg and also initiated further investigations into the case, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement said that people have hailed its efforts for their quick and vigilant action against such persons. Police on this occasion assured people to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
