Jammu: J&K BJP Spokesman Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta on Tuesday said that the resounding victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Hindi heartland has not only set the stage for the 2024 parliamentary elections in favour of BJP but has also punctured the over swollen egos of the many Congress leaders whose arrogance was felt by its partners of I.N.D.I.Alliance and was also visible to the discerning voters as well.
Stating that while the Congress leadership was busy in display of arrogance, pessimism, lies, unparliamentary vocabulary and list of false promises, the BJP karyakartas led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi were presenting their report card to the people along with the list of fulfilled promises, the J&K BJP Spokesman in his above referred statement further said “credit of the people of the Hindi heartland that they refused to fall prey to the false promises of the Congress displaying their political mood and maturity in rejecting the divisive and opportunistic politics of is leadership while on the other hand Modi’s imprint was writ large on the electoral verdict”.
Claiming that pro incumbency in BJP ruled MP and anti – incumbency in the Congress ruled states has established the performance during the incumbency is a decisive factor for the voters, Brigadier (Retd) Gupta said “the positive vote for good governance and public welfare schemes has proved beyond doubt that the discerning voter is no more prone to get lured by opportunistic slogans, false promises, manufactured accusations and allegations. Stating that the electorate has imposed faith in Modi’s guarantee of ‘viksit aatmnirbhar Bharat’ with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, while vehemently rejecting anti-Bharat and anti-Sanatan statements made by the Congress leaders and its alliance partners, the J&K BJP Spokesman said “Rather than respecting the people’s verdict gracefully, the Congress leadership has resorted to flimsy excuse making including oft-repeated faulty EVMs which is not going well with the people since they are unwilling this time to forgive the Congress for its repeated attempts to break Bharat’s fabric through caste-ridden divisive politics”. Brigadier (Retd) Gupta in his statement further said that to cover up the sound thrashing given by the voters the Congressis now taking shelter behind statistics and claiming that the total votes polled by Congress in the four states are more than the BJP least realizing the proof of the pudding lies in its eating and BJP would form government in three out of the four states among which two have been snatched from the Congress.
Stating that Congress has been confined to just three states and still it continues
to harbour the idea of rebranding and relaunching one of its leaders as the Prime
Ministerial candidate, the J&K BJP Spokesman said “ It’s high time for the Congress to discard those leaders whose expiry date is long overdue”. Taking a dig at Congress spokesperson’s claim that the election was fought between the secular and divisive forces in the country, Brig (Retd)Gupta asserted that the nation’s verdict of who is secular and who is divisive is evident from the results irrespective of the negative narrative floated by Congress and its partners of I.N.D.I. Alliance. Alleging that beginning with the partition of the country Congress has been at the forefront of dividing Bharat’s fabric through appeasement, caste-ridden politics and divisive agendas the latest being the North-South divide, the J&K BJP Spokesman said “Those who fail to be winners should aspire at least to be a good looser.”
