Loidhar Panchayat- village of Ace para-archer Shetal Devi gets SRTC Service; DC Kishtwar Flags-off Bus

Kishtwar : The people of Loidhar Panchayat in Block Mughal Maidan of District Kishtwar on Saturday got a reason to celebrate as Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Devansh Yadav flagged of a newly allotted SRTC Bus Service to ply on the route of the area.
It’s noteworthy that Loidhar holds the distinction of being the Native Village of Sheetal Devi – Ace Para-archer of Jammu and Kashmir.
Present on the occasion were ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak; Sarpanch Loidhar, Bashir Ahmed; Sarpanch Sigdi A, Shabir Ahmed Lone; SRTC official Ajaz Ahmed Doolwal, MVD Officials and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Devansh Yadav emphasized the District Administration’s unwavering commitment to augment transport services for the residents of the district. He stressed upon SRTC transporters, drivers and the MVD department to strictly adhere to road safety measures, ensuring the utmost safety for commuters.
The bus has been furnished with adequate seating and safety features, ensuring a comfortable journey for the commuters.
Ajaz Ahmed Doolwal, while welcoming the facility, said that the bus service will commence from the Main Bus Stand Kishtwar at 2 PM daily, accommodating an overnight stay at Loidhar and returning back the following morning to the Kishtwar Bus Stand.
Sarpanch Bashir Ahmed expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration and SRTC on behalf of the people of Loidhar and Mughal Maidan for facilitating convenient and hassle-free travel. He urged the community to embrace and support the SRTC services, ensuring the success of this initiative. Additionally, he underscored the recognition brought to the area by Sheetal Devi, the Para-athlete Champion.
