7-bank accounts of smuggler, his family members freezed in B’pora: Police

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it has got final nod for freezing seven bank accounts of a narcotics smuggler and his family from the competent authority here in Bandipora.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that while confirmation order for the freezing of seven bank accounts having savings of Rs 9,60,759/= belonging to a narcotics smuggler identified as Khursheed Ahmad Waza S/o Gh Ahmad Waza R/o Bagh Bandipora and his family was received on Wednesday from the Competent Authority and Administrator, SAFEM (New Delhi), it has come to fore that all these liquid assets were acquired by the accused through the sale of illegal narcotic substances. Police in it’s statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
