Srinagar: To bridge the gap between police & public, Police in Kulgam facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meetings (PCPG) at Police Station DH Pora, Police Station Behibagh, Police Station Kund and Police Station Qaimoh.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meetings were held on the directions of SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal and were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by the respectable citizens of Behibagh, Kund, Khudwani, Qaimoh and DH Pora.
During the interaction meetings, the participants raised various issues of public importance including eradication of drug abuse, Traffic Jams for their immediate redressal. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, the chairing officers assured that the genuine issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for their immediate redressal besides issues related to Police will be resolved in shortest possible time. The participants were also stressed to co-operate with Police in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment. While addressing the participants, chairing officers urged participants to strengthening the Police-public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society.
The participants in the meetings assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
