Samba: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma on Saturday underscored the importance of imbibing leadership qualities among the children by providing them effective platforms for exchange of ideas.
He was speaking as Chief Guest at a Prize distribution and Closing Ceremony of (MUN) Model United Nations-Youth Conclave here at Ram Universal School.
He emphasized that establishing such communication channels will bolster cohesiveness when it comes to dealing with multidimensional threats. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners and distributed the certificates of appreciation to the members of the Global Assembly Youth Conclave. The Best Delegation Trophy was awarded to the contingent from Heritage School. Assistant Professor (Dr) Mohit Sharma, Public Policy and Public Administration Department at Central University Jammu graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
The Conclave was a simulation of the United Nations conference where students played roles as delegates of different countries attempting to crack the real-world issues while confining themselves to the policies and perspectives of their assigned portfolio.
