Srinagar: The third militant wanted in Banihal SSB Camp attack was arrested by the police in which a SSB Head Constable was killed and an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) got injured on September
20.
“Militant identified as Aqib Wahid, resident of Kaskoot, Banihal was arrested Sunday last from Kashmir and with his arrest, all three terrorists involved in attack on SSB camp, have been apprehended,’’ police here Monday said.
They said that the arrested terrorist was a B Sc final year student of Anantnag Degree College and held from Nowgam by a Police party from Ramban after successful raid on a hideout.
Three terrorists attacked SSB jawans who were returning at Thathar at the site of construction of new tunnel on the National Highway in Banihal.
Both snatched weapons were also recovered from them, they added.
