Srinagar : Police on Saturday facilitated a meeting with the next of kins (NOKs) of slain police personnel in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was organized at District Police Lines Ganderbal , adding therein that the meeting chaired by DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan was also attended by Lines Officer DPL Ganderbal and other Police officers of district Ganderbal.
Stating that the meeting was attended by NOKs of slain police personne; of Ganderbal district, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that the aim of the meeting was to take stock of welfare of the families of the police personnel who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country. “DySP Hqrs Ganderbal gave a patient hearing to the issues and grievances put forth by NOKs and assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority”, reads the police statement, adding that “the DySP Hqrs Ganderbal informed the participants that various welfare measures have been taken by the Police department for the benefit of the next of kins and all the police units are committed to provide every possible assistance to the next of kins of slain police personnel on priority”.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that slain police personnel are unforgettable members of Police Parivaar and taking care of their next of kins is prime responsibility of police department. Police in it’s statement also urged the next of kins of slain police personnel to approach the office of Dy SP Headquarters Ganderbal anytime for any assistance. Next of kins of slain police personnel also expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
