Srinagar: On the 6th day of “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” Campaign, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday organized various events across the Kashmir valley, besides felicitated the family members of veers who have sacrificed their lives in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar at Police Control Room Kashmir, Tiranga rally was organised in which officers and officials of J&K police posted at PCR Kashmir participated with great fervour and enthusiasm. Later, “Panch Pran Pledge” ceremony was also observed in the conference hall where SSP PCR Kashmir Shoket Hussain Shah read out the pledge. After pledge ceremony, SSP PCR Kashmir briefed the officers/officials and explained the meaning as well as purpose of the pledge of Panch Pran, with focus to make India a developed country, eliminate the mentality of slavery, be proud of our rich heritage, uphold unity and solidarity, fulfil duties as citizens, and respect those who protect the nation.
Awantipora Police organised Tiranga rallies in Tral, Khrew & Pampore in which students, scores of youth, civil society members, officers/officials of police, CRPF and civil department participated. Moreover, the families of veers who laid their lives for the nation were felicitated at Police Post Reshipora, Police Station Pampore, PS Awantipora & Police Station Khrew.
Shopian police organised a mega Tiranga rally led by SSP Shopian Ms Tanushree- IPS, which witnessed a massive participation of over 10,000 people including all stakeholders. The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Shopian Fazlul Haseeb during a grand ceremony held at DPL Shopian. ADC Shopian, DySP Hqrs Shopian, DySP DAR, DySP Keller, all Tehsildars of the District, Commandant CRPF 14th Bn among others participated in the rally. The rally started from the DPL Shopian and passed through the Main Town Shopian and culminated at the Batpora Stadium Shopian.
Anantnag Police organized several plantation drives at DPL Anantnag, Police Station Anantnag and Police Station Kokernag in which saplings of different species were planted besides, ‘Panch Pran Pledge’ was also observed.
Srinagar Police organised Tiranga rallies in Parimpora, Shalteng, Noorbagh, Khimber and Sangam areas of the district Srinagar. The rallies were led by SP West, SDPO Bemina, SDPO Pantha Chowk along with other officers in which officers and officials from police and CRPF participated.
Budgam Police organized a mega Tiranga rally in which SDM Chadoora, Tehsildar Chadoora, Govt. Higher Secondary School staff, municipality officers/officials and students of govt. Higher secondary school Chadoora participated.
Sopore Police felicitated the families of veers at District Police Lines Sopore, followed by Tiranga rally which was headed by SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab alongwith ADC Sopore, besides, DySP DAR Sopore and other senior officers of Police, CRPF, family members of Veers also participated in Tiranga rally.
Kupwara Police organised Tiranga rallies in Police Stations/Police Posts across the district. These rallies were attended by students, officers, civil society members and scores of youth across the district. Moreover, Handwara Police held plantation drive in Police Post Chogal and Police Post Langate in which saplings of different species were planted besides, felicitation ceremony for NOKs of martyrs in PS Kralgund was also organised.
Bandipora police organised plantation drives, Panch Pran pledge, Tiranga rallies and lighting of Diyas at different police units throughout the district in which police, students and civil society members participated with great enthusiasm.
