4th day of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign: Police organises events in various police establishments across valley

Srinagar : As a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Police organised various events to observe “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” a nationwide campaign at various Police establishments across the Kashmir valley. The campaign witnessed a range of impactful activities and gained momentum on the fourth day with a series of events across the valley.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar at the Police Control Room Kashmir, Tiranga rallies were held in which police officers & officials participated. Later, hoisting of National Flag ceremonies were held across the Police Control Room Kashmir.
In Budgam, police alongwith with civil administration organised huge Tiranga rallies in Budgam, Humhama, Hardupanzu and Beerwah. Students, general Public, scores of youths from different areas of district besides, officers/officials of police & CAPF and civil department participated. The soaring tri-colour flag served as a powerful symbol of national pride and harmony during these remarkable gatherings. Besides, ASP Budgam Gowhar Ahmad Khan took the lead in the Panch Pran pledge ceremony at DPO Budgam.
In Srinagar, police organized several Tiranga rallies in association with civil society and students from different schools across the district. In Ganderbal, a Plantation Drive was launched at DPL Ganderbal by planting hundreds of saplings of plants with the aim and motive to revive nature & environment. SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar participated in the Plantation Drive alongwith NOKs of slain cops in which DySP Headquarters Ganderbal, including other Officers/Officials took part with huge fervour and enthusiasm. Finally, SSP Ganderbal also heard the grievances of NOKs of slain cops and assured them every help and support and asked them that their genuine grievances will be put up with higher ups for proper redressal. SSP Ganderbal alongwith NOKs of slain cops also visited Gallery of slain cops in DPL Ganderbal to pay floral tributes to them. Finally, gifts were distributed among the NOks of Police Martyr’s.
In Anantnag, a series of events including Tiranga rallies which started from Sangam to Donipora Bijbehara and Vidhai Sirgufwara to Sakrasand & plantation drive was held on road side of NHW 44 from Sangam to Donipora were organized. These rallies were not only a celebration of India’s progress over the years but also a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals for the nation’s freedom. Besides Tiranga rallies and plantation drive, SSP Anantnag felicitated the families of veers at Kehribal Mattan Anantnag.
In Pulwama, a series of events were organized which included a mega Tiranga rally, “Panch Pran Pledge” Ceremony, Diyas lit followed by “Vasudha Vandan” drive at Govt. Women’s Degree College Pulwama. The events marked a significant demonstration of solidarity among the different segments of society.
In Awantipora, “Panch Pran Pledge” ceremony followed by Plantation drive at Police Station Pampore was organized. Moreover, SSP Awantipora accompanied by Add. Special Mobile Magistrate Awantipora, DySP DAR, SDPO Awantipora held Plantation drive at Police Station Awantipora followed by Panch Pran Pledge ceremony.
In Shopian, SSP Shopian Tanushree led a Tiranga March through the streets of Shopian town under the banner “Meri Maati Mera Desh” Campaign with an aim to promote unity, Patriotism and Community engagement. The Tiranga March was attended by all officers of the District including ASP Shopian, DYSP Hqrs Shopian, DySP DAR DPL Shopian, besides more than two hundred School children participated. General public served the participants with potable Water bottles en-route to different locations.
In Baramulla, Tiranga Bike rally was organised in Baramulla Town which was kick started and joined by SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagapure-IPS besides, SP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP DAR DPL Baramulla, SHO PS Baramulla, IC PP Delina, police personnel of District Police Baramulla & youth of New Town & Old Town Baramulla participated.
In Sopore, police organized a “Panch Pran Pledge” ceremony at Tragpora Rafiabad in the jurisdiction of Police Post Watergam. The “Panch Pran Pledge” ceremony was a solemn occasion where participants collectively renewed their commitment to upholding the fundamental values of unity, integrity, diversity, and freedom, which are the life force of our nation.
In Handwara, police organised Tiranga rallies throughout the Police District in which students & Civil Society members of the area also participated. Interaction meeting with NOKs of slain cops also held in DPL Handwara.
In Bandipora, during the campaign a series of events including Plantation drives, Panch Pran Pledge, Tiranga Rallies and hoisting of National Flag ceremonies were organized at several police units across the district.
