Ganderbal: Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK), on Tuesday organised an extension lecture “My Journey as Administrator, Academic, Social Worker, and Activist”, by the Deputy Director Tourism. Dr. Mantasha Binti Rashid.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office Central University of Kashmir, Dr. Mantasha’s insights illuminated the audience’s understanding of the intersections and differentiations across the various roles she has assumed. She focused on the context of gender rights and challenges and addressed the pressing societal challenges faced by women while offering potential solutions for advancing women’s empowerment.
In his address, Head and Dean SLS, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir emphasized the significance of such events and underscored the Department’s commitment to provide a space for intellectual discourse and professional development. “The event itself testified to the Department’s unwavering dedication to fostering an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning.” He further said, the event aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange, networking opportunities, and the exploration of contemporary themes relevant to the chosen discourse.
Earlier, Asst Prof. Hilal Ahmad Najar, welcomed the guest and said, Dr Mantasha is holding a PhD from the University of Westminster and a master’s degree in Gender Policy through a Fulbright fellowship from the State University of New York.
