The campaign was launched by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav in the presence of key officers including CMO, Dr. M. Y. Mir, Dy. CMO, Dr. Balbir Kumar, MS DH, Dr. Yudhvir, DIO, BMO and other health officials, signifying their commitment to the successful implementation of IMI 5.0.
The launch event marked the commencement of the campaign, emphasizing the significance of comprehensive vaccination coverage for the health and well-being of the community.
The CMO provided an insightful overview of IMI 5.0, highlighting its three-phase nationwide approach. The campaign’s initial phase will span from August 7 to 12, followed by the second phase from September 11 to 16, and concluding with the third phase from October 9 to 14.
IMI 5.0 aims to ensure that all children between the ages of 0 and 5 years, as well as pregnant women, who may have missed vaccinations or are partially unvaccinated, receive comprehensive coverage through this well-structured campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the health and well-being of the community is a shared responsibility, and this vaccination drive underscores the collective commitment to safeguarding the future of our children and promoting maternal health and he impressed upon all the Officers and field functionaries of health department to ensure the effective implementation of the campaign.
