Reasi | October, 19: A 45-year-old woman sustained severe injuries after leaping from a window upon discovering her young son hanging at their home in the Mahore area of Jammu’s Reasi district.
Officials said the incident took place during the intervening night of October 18 and 19 in Baggodas village. The deceased youth has been identified as 20-year-old Mohd Farooq, son of Shabir Ahmed. Witnesses said his mother, Basso Begum, jumped from a house window in deep shock after spotting her son. Family members immediately evacuated her to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for emergency medical treatment. Police have registered the case and initiated a full investigation into the circumstances.
