Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that SP Hqrs Bla Divya D visited Middle School Kalayban and chairs Drug Awareness Programme, also interacted with studentsAn awareness programme on drug abuse was also organised at Middle School Kalayban.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the awareness programme, which focused on prevention strategies, imparted essential knowledge to participants, including identifying symptoms and appropriate initial responses.
On this occasion, SP Hqrs delivered a comprehensive presentation, providing valuable insights and sharing their expertise on various aspects of drug addiction. The awareness programme received an overwhelming response from the participants, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their understanding of drug addiction.
She stressed upon the students to take their studies seriously for better & successful future. She also impressed upon that everyone should take part in sports activities as it helps to boost self-confidence, concentration, physical as well as mental health. She also stated that students should make optimum use of time and channelize their energy in the right direction.
Besides, the Baramulla Police in its attempt to promote & support in educational activities for the students of far-flung area and hailing from under privileged class as well as to build good Police-Public relations within the district, SP Hqrs Baramulla Ms Divya D-IPS under the aegis of “Civic Action Programme” also distributed 2 Cricket Kits & 62 Clothing Kits among the students of Middle School Kalayban & Darul Tahriyat Zandfaran respectively.
Moreover, the event was also attended by DySP DAR Baramulla, SHO PS Sheeri, President Darul Tahriyat Zandfaran & Chairman Save Youth Save Future (NGO). At the end management bodies have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and applauded the role of Police for arranging & providing such facilities in order to boost their morale.
