DDC Shopian conducts extensive tour of Town

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb on Friday conducted an extensive tour of Shopian town to assess the developmental initiatives required for its holistic and sustainable development.
During the tour, the DDC visited several areas including Kanipora, Main Chowk to take first hand assessment of requirements of the town, and made a comprehensive strategy for its development in terms of all developmental parameters.
The DDC discussed the plans with concerned development officers on initiatives to be taken on a wide range of issues including rehabilitation of street vendors, identification and creating green spaces, development of parking lots, better utilization of resources for better traffic management.
He instructed the concerned executing agencies of various developmental projects to execute the projects as conceived during plan formulation, for making the town smart and beautiful.
He reiterated that the beautification of the town is on priority of the District Administration, for which various steps are being taken to make it beautiful.
The DDC was accompanied by ACR, Shopian, Executive Engineer R&B, Irrigation, Tehsildar Shopian, PRIs and other officials.
