Mysuru: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday held a massive roadshow in Krishnarajanagara here, urging the people to change the present government in Karnataka which is “looting” them.
Standing atop a specially-designed vehicle, Priyanka was greeted by the people who were standing on both sides of the road and adjacent buildings.
The onlookers also waved at Priyanka as the vehicle passed by them. At one point of time, she took a selfie for an admirer as people raised slogans of Priyanka Gandhi ki jai.
Large number of party workers added spice to the march by flaunting the party flag as it meandered through the street with sounds of drum beats reverberating in the background.
Priyanka also shook hands with a few of the admirers standing on the road as AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala and others accompanied her.
At a public meeting earlier, Priyanka accused the Basavaraj Bommai government of looting Rs 1.5 lakh crore from the state.
She also interacted with women in Hanur town of Chamarajanagar district to gain first hand knowledge of their problems.
Polling will take place on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13.
