2 burglary cases solved in Bla, Stolen properties also recovered : Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has solved two burglary cases in Baramulla district and also arrested the accused persons involved in the commission of crime, adding therein that stolen properties were recovered from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Station Kreeri on 24th March received a complaint from Bashir Ahmad Wani S/o Gh Hassan Wani R/o Kreeri Baramulla stating therein further that during Friday prayers some unknown burglars had entered his shop and stolen cash of about Rs. 30,000/-.
Stating that a case was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kreeri and investigation was also initiated, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation names of some suspects surfaced surfaced including Syed Zaffar Shah S/o Syed Muzaffar Shah R/o Yakhmanpora Pattan who were called for questioning and during questioning, the said accused confessed the crime and, on his disclosure, stolen cash was recovered.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that in another similar incident, a police party of PP Palhallan received a complaint on23rd December last year from one Bashir Ahmad Yatoo S/o Gh Mohd Yatoo R/o Yadipora Pattan. Stating that during intervening night of 22nd and 23rd December last year some unknown burglars broke open the lock of the said shop and stole tea bags, cigarette boxes etc, Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 340/2022 was registered under relevant sections of law and investigation was also initiated.
Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources, investigating officers zeroed in on one suspect identified as Faizan Ahmad Gojri @Pita S/o Mohd Ramzan Gojri R/o Gojri Mohalla Palhallan and during questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime and on his disclosure, stolen property was recovered. Stating that both the accused have been arrested and shifted to respective police stations where they remain in custody, Police in the concluding para of the above quoted statement said that people on this occasion lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the cases. Police in it’s statement also resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.
