Srinagar : Police on Friday claimed to have booked a notorious thief under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining necessary sanction from the authorities.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a habitual notorious thief namely Imran Hussain Mir S/o Manzoor Ahmed Mir R/o Kakarpora Mirgund, Baramulla was detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) by Budgam Police for his unrelenting criminal acts of burglary and theft, Stating therein futher that the said thief was involved in 12 burglary and theft cases are registered at Police Station Magam, Police Station Pattan & Police Station Kunzar.
Stating that subsequently case been processed and after obtaining sanctions from the concerned authorities, the booked notorious thief has been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Kupwara, Police in a concluding para of the above quoted statement said that its consistent actions against anti-social elements will remain continue in future also and assured the people therein that efforts are on to keep ociety free from the scourge of inimical elements.
