Srinagar :Police on Monday said that it has arrested three persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and also seized 3 vehicles used in the crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that a Police party of PP Newa raided different locations of Romshi Nalla Newa Pulwama and seized 2 tractors, 1 tipper. Besides, arrested 3 drivers involved in illegal transportation of minerals, Stating therein further that a case vide FIR No. 31/2023 under relevant sections of law was registed following which investigation was initiated
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement Police said that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per lawand also appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
