Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime within 24 hours in Budgam district and further said that the stolen property has also been recovered from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters here Police said that Police Station Chadoora received a complaint from Khurshid Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Nabi Dar R/o Wadipora stating therein further that during the intervening night some unknown burglars have stolen a generator from his house.
Stating that police on this occasion accordingly registered a case vide FIR No. 04/2023 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chadoora and investigation was initiated, Police in it’s statement further said that during investigation many suspects were called for questioned and during questioning police zeroed in one suspect namely Showket Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Gani Dar resident of Brarigund Chadoora and during sustained questioning officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime.
Police in it’s statement further said that the said accused has admitted his role in many other thefts, revealing therein that the stolen items worth lakhs including 1 Honda Generator, 1 Pesticide Spray Motor, 1 Brush Cutter, 1 Inverter, 1 Battery, 1 Transformer, 1 Spray Pipe, 1 Canvas Pipe, 1 Polyethylene Canvas and 1 Sound Box were recovered on his disclosure.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police further said that investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests & recoveries are expected.
