In a statement issued on Friday ,Hakeem said that both AWWs and AWHs are working on a meager honorarium and ending their services on attaining the age of 60 years was a cruel action for them as compared to the selfless services bieng rendered by them . He said another decision to disengage the AWWs and AWHs ,if she , permanently shifts or changes her place of residence outside the ward on the basis of residence of which was also an injustice with them .

He said AWWs play a pivotal role in awakening the society about various social and health related issues especially among children of the under previlleged sections . Hakeem also impressed upon the government to fulfill it’s commitment about zero tolerance against any kind of human rights violation.
