Robbery case solved within 24 hrs in B’gam; 3 accused arrested: Police

Srinagar: J&K Police on Monday said that it has solved a robbery case by arresting 3 persons involved in the commission of crime within 24 hours and recovered looted cash from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar here police said that on 18th December Police Station Chadoora received a written complaint from one Shakir Bashir of Nowpora Chadoora who had stated therein that he along with his brother Wahid Ahmad Shergojri was returning from Srinagar in their Auto load Carrier when on reaching Badipora Chadoora, one Tata Mobile (Load carrier) bearing Registration number JK04H-2086 in which 3 unknown persons were on board stopped their auto load carrier and attacked them due to which they sustained injuries besides which they snatched cash amount of Rs 20,000 and fled away from the spot.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 204/2022 was registered under relevant section of laws at Police Station Chadoora and investigation was initiated,
Police in the concluding para of the above statement said that during the course of investigation, officers after working on various leads, obtained details of suspected vehicle which led to the arrest of all 3 persons involved in the commission of crime who have been identified as Nasir Hussain Malik S/o Wali Mohd Malik, Mohd Saleem Bhat S/o Mohd Ahsan Bhat, both residents of Charar e Sharief and Irfan Ali S/o Ali Mohd Ahangar R/o Hufroo Charar e Sharief and looted cash amount of Rs20,000 have also been recovered from their possession. Police in it’s statement further more said that the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized and further investigation is going on.
