Budgam : As part of ‘Back to Village’ programme Phase IV which is a sequel to Jan Abhiyan launched by the government, Director Social Welfare Department (SWD), Mohd Shafi, on Thursday visited MFM Budgam
During the visit, the Director Social Welfare distributed Education kits among girl children under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director laid stress on better education to girl child and availing benefits under various schemes of SWD like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, LadliBeti scheme, marriage assistance scheme and other programmes.
He also laid emphasis on providing good nutrition for their better mental and physical development.
During the visit, the Director was accompanied by DSWO, Dr Syed Farhana; TSWOs Shahid Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad, DHEW-MS Staff Afroza Bhat, Masroofa Majeed and Asifa Manzoor.
