Srinagar : Police in Bandipora on Thursday organised a debate competition on the theme “Braveries of Police Martyrs” at DPL Bandipora. In this competition 15 students of various government institutions of the district participated.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Sgr, police said that on this occasion Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Owais Ahmad, SSP Bandipora Mohmad Zahid, DySP DAR Bandipora Ishfaq Alam, other senior officers of police & CRPF were present. Officials from Education /Sports Department, teachers, Educationists and a large number of students of various educational institutes of district Bandipora were also present on the occasion.
During the debate the participants highlighted the role of police in maintaining law & order, fighting various anti national and anti-social elements and other crimes prevalent in the society. Deputy Commissioner Bandipora in his address lauded the role of Bandipora police for providing a platform to the young and budding student speakers to exhibit their talent.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Bandipora said that during the celebration of Police Flag Day-2022 various events will be held across the district by police. In the competition, first position was bagged by Faisal Firdous Dar from HSS Shadipora, 2nd position by Rabia Mustafa of HSS Gadakhud Sumbal & 3rd position by Mehrun Nisa of HSS Hajin. In the end a prize distribution ceremony was held in which Trophies/ Appreciation certificates were distributed among the winners & participants.
