Samba : On the directions of the J&K Legal Services Authority, a General LokAdalat was held the other day at District Court Complex, Samba.
Two benches were constituted for the said purpose. Bench no.1 was constituted for taking up MACT & Bank cases, Pre-Litigation matters, Civil Cases and consisted of Sonia Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge, and RashiVerma Addl. Munsiff .
The Second Bench consisted of Arvind Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate and AnantaRaina, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, which took up cases under 488/125 CrPC, D.V.Act, Criminal Compoundable Cases of all nature.
The representatives of Banks, Insurance Companies, Advocates and Litigants participated in the General LokAdalat.
A total no. of 159 cases were taken up by the Benches out of which 120 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs. 1,97,100 Was settled.
