DC Kupwara inspects Training Session under ‘Zimadari’ Progat BHSS Nagri

Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatrayon Friday visited Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Nagri and took stock of the ongoing Training Session under ‘Zimadari’ programme aimed for Qualitative Assessment of schools in the district.

The DC interacted with the Trainees and Resource Persons and got feedback from them regarding implementation of the Zimadariprogramme in their respective schools.

He directed the Resource Persons to use ICT and Multimedia resources to make the training more dynamic and vibrant. He also asked them to show online videos to the trainees about best practices of enhancing teaching-learning outcomes so that they can get ideas from them and implement them in their respective schools.

Referring to the Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) plan, the DC stressed the need for implementing the plan which assumes that the architecture of school can be a resource for the teaching-learning processes, thus motivating students to attend the school on a regular basis. He also directed the training participants to impart learning of basic life skills to the children which will help them in personality development.

Referring to the need for development of kitchen gardens in schools, the DC said that these kitchen gardens will provide hands-on learning exposure of environment science to the pupils, besides they will get necessary nutrients from the vegetables.

Earlier, the DC was informed that 34 Head of Institutions of Drugmulla zone are participating in the daylong training session under ‘Zimadari’ programme who will grade their schools on the basis of qualitative parameters.

Meanwhile, on the directions of DC, training sessions have been started in all 13 Zones of the district for qualitative assessment of the schools which is aimed at improving the quality education.

Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani; Principal BHSS Nagri, Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Resource Persons, Trainee Heads of Institutions were present at the occasion.
