Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad who is also District Election Officer (DEO) on Thursday paid a surprise visit to various polling stations in the district to take stock of ongoing summary revision (SSR).
During the visit, DEO asked the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to spread awareness among youngsters on the importance of voting. He asked them to conduct door to door surveys and also communicate with the public through various mediums available for deletion, addition and other EPIC related data modifications.
Dr. Owais urged the public to contact BLOs at their respective polling stations for any modification/correction, addition or deletion in the electoral roll in order to maintain a clean and comprehensive electoral roll.
He also urged those who are not enrolled yet to come forward in order to enroll themselves in the Electoral Roll.
Dr. Owais said that all the forms required for addition, deletion, correction, transposition and other modifications are available at all the polling stations to ease out the process for the public.The DEO was accompanied by Dy. DEO Bandipora and others concerned.
