Srinagar : Police in Baramulla on Thursday facilitated an interaction meeting with NOKs of Martyrs at DPL Baramulla.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, police said the meeting was chaired by Dy SP DAR Baramulla Dr. Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, besides other officers of Police were also present on the occasion. The meeting was attended by large number of NOKs of Police martyrs of District Baramulla.
The meeting was organised to take stock of the welfare of the families of Police Martyrs who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. The chairing officer while addressing the NOK’s of martyrs’ assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, the chairing officer in his address assured the NOKs of every possible help and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of nation. He also informed the participants about various welfare measures that are been taken by the Police Department for the welfare of the NOKs and all the Police units are committed to provide every possible assistance to the families of those killed in the line of duty. He further said that police men killed in the line of duty are unforgettable members of Police Parivaar and taking care of their NOKs is prime responsibility of police department as the cops killed in the line of duty sacrifice their lives for our better future. NOKs of slain cops expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
