Srinagar : Police on Monday said held a meeting with Police Retired Officers Association (Non-Gazetted) at District Police Lines Budgam.
According to a statement issued from the Zonal Police Headquarters, police said that the participants were welcomed by SSP Budgam who assured them that police is always at their disposal and to address their grievances. He also stated that they are still part of Police organization and can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time.
During the meeting, the retired officers raised various issues and also proposed some initiatives for the betterment of post service life. SSP Budgam assured them that their genuine issues and problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their early redressal. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future also to redress the grievances of the retirees.
According to a concluding para of the above referred statement, the meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem Khan along with Dy SP Hqrs Budgam Naem Wani and Dy SP DAR DPL Budgam Owaise Rashid. During the meeting, more than 100 retired Police officers of the district participated.
