Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar, Police said that officers from PS Boniyar under the supervision of SDPO Uri Junaid Wali arrested one drug peddler during naka during checking at Kessi Morh near Trikanajan Boniyar and recovered 43grams of Herion like substance from his possession.
Stating that the above named accused has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Ganai S/o Ab Gaffar Ganai R/o Trikanjan Boniyar and shifted to police station where he remains in custody, Police in it’s statement further said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigation set in motion.
In a concluding para of the above referred statement Police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
