New Delhi : Prime Minister Narindra Modi on Tuesday described the crafts and artisans as the highest in the society and said that skill is inheritance of God. He said that it is an unfortunate situation that today, artisans are considered small, but handicrafts are the real heritage of our country, where various local handicrafts have gained world fame, especially if we mention Banarasi saree, Kashmiri Carpets and shawls, local handicrafts of Bengal, Bihar and other states are a masterpiece for India.
According to the news reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stressed the importance of skill and skill and said that it should be used to make people’s lives easier keeping in mind the interest of their lives and society.
On this occasion, PM said that India has got global citizenship thanks to various local handicrafts. He said that many things are made by hand in different regions of India, which are made new in some regions of the world, due to which the handicrafts here have gained world fame.
Modi also expressed concern over the indifference towards skills and expertise and appealed to people to respect talent. He said that crafts and skilled workers have played an important role in India’s socio-economics.
Describing skill and expertise as the legacy of Lord Vishwakarma, he said that life without skilled people is unimaginable, but it is a matter of great concern that skilled people are sometimes underestimated. Referring to various workers, he said, “All these workers are known for their skills. In modern form this is also Vishwakarma. But friends, there is another side to it and it is sometimes a cause of concern, in a country where in culture, in traditions, in thought, talent, talented manpower is God.”
