2 LeT militant associates arrested in Budgam: Police

Budgam: Police on Saturday said that it has arrested two militant associates of LeT militant outfit in Budgam and also recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition from their possession.
In a statement issued on Saturday Police said that police in Budgam along with 2RR & 179Bn CRPF arrested two militant associates of LeT militant outfit from orchard area of Rathsun Beerwah, Budgam who were identified as Wajid Yousuf Akhoon son of Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon resident of Rathsun Beerwah & Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh son of Wali Mohammad Sheikh resident of Kawoosa Khalisa.
Stating further that Incriminating materials of LeT militant outfit, arms & ammunition including one Chinese Pistol, 02 pistol magazines, 12 pistol rounds have been recovered from the possession of the above named accused, Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 35/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been initiated.
