DC Budgam holds Public Darbar at Parisabad, Waterhail

Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Wednesday chaired a public darbar at High School Parisabad in Block Waterhail, here.
On the occasion, Sarpanches, Panches and other respected from panchayat halqas of Waterhail, Sholipora, Abadpora and other villages raised their demands and issues with the DC.
The locals raised issues including, macadimization of roads, construction of bridge connecting Parisabad with Abadpora, NTPHC upgradation to PHE and deployment of requisite staff including dentist, veterinary facility for which two kanals of land have been provided by the locals, development and Bandh protection for main irrigation canal, bridge on Parisabad connecting with Bonhama, relocation, road from Sholipora to Sangrampora macadimization, anti-encroachment drive, improvement in HT and LT Lines, new water pipeline for villages Abadpora and other adjoining villages.
The DC issued on spot directions for taking up the macadamization work of the main road between Sholipora and Parisabad. He also instructed stakeholders to take up works for the development of the road between Parisabad and Bonhama and construction of the bridge connecting village Parisabad with the rest of the Beerwah area through Bonhama.
He emphasized upon concerned to take over the primary school building for the veterinary centre facility.
The DC directed a joint awareness and grievances redressal camp on Tuesday related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Health departments and concerned CSC for awareness about various schemes and registration of locals for issuance of Golden cards among the pending beneficiaries.
The CAO was directed to ensure distribution of seeds and fertilizer at the doorsteps of farmers.
The locals also raised the issue of vacant posts at School on what DC said all vacant posts shall be filled on war footing.
The DC stressed on desilting and clearance works of all irrigation canals be carried out, besides the work on protection wall, cut wall and crate walls for these canals be also started to ensure smooth irrigation water supply to the cultivable land.
He said that pending work on the NTPHC be completed so that the health care facility working presently in a private building is shifted for its smooth functioning.
The DC further instructed Panchayat members to carry out a massive cleanliness drive from Sunday to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of proper sanitation in all panchayat halqas and urged PRIs to ensure that people follow the ban on use of one-time plastic items and dumping of roadside garbage and in open areas. He said that instead they shall use separate dustbins for proper disposal of garbage generated daily by the households.
The DC directed concerned to ensure land identification for establishments of segregation sheds and dumping sites in each panchayat halqas for proper garbage disposal.
During the visit, the DC inspected the Govt High School and interacted with students and teachers, besides taking first-hand appraisal of facilities there.
Later, the DC also visited and inspected the pace and progress of various development works including at Shrine of Syed Mohammad Kirmani at Abadpora village. He emphasized that work on all projects be completed timely.
Among others, ACD, CMO, SDM Khansahab, Executive Engineers from various Engineering Wings, district heads of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, ARTO, BDO, DMO and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
