G’bal : Deputy Inspector General Police CKR Sujit Kumar on Monday visited District Ganderbal and chaired a review meeting related to security scenario, law & order, Yatra preparedness, anti-militancy operations, anti-drug drive, and other issues related to day-to-day policing.
According to a police statement, during his visit, DIG CKR visited Police Component & JIC Ganderbal and took stock of anti-militancy operational duties. Apart from review of security scenario DIG CKR also took stock of AmarnathYatra preparations which is likely to commence on 30th June 2022. He directed district police officers to ensure conduct of safe and secure AmarnathYatra. He also visited under construction building of Police Post Nagbal at Shuhama.
He also chaired a meeting at DPO Ganderbal which was attended by SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar, ASP Ganderbal FerozYehya, SDPO Kangan, DySP Headquarters Ganderbal, DySP PC Ganderbal and other senior Police officers of the District.
During the meeting, the DIG CKR stressed upon the officers that anti-national elements need to be taken to task so that militancy related activities are curbed to the fullest and directed them to focus on modern policing techniques in investigation and particularly dealing with militancy. He also laid emphasis on strengthening the police-public relations, service oriented policing and to gain the confidence and trust of the people to maintain peace and tranquillity in the district.
