JKNPP expresses dismay over Delimitation Report

Jammu | : An urgent meeting of District Committees of JKNPP was held on Thursday expressing deep shock about the report submitted by the Delimitation Commission about J&K. This is just the imaginary creation of the Delimitation Commission without the practical aspect of the subject and the demand from all sections of the society of erstwhile State.
The JKNPP President Prof.Bhim Singh described the Delimitation Report as impractical eyewash which was chosen to defraud the public. Prof. Bhim Singh conveyed to senior leaders and district presidents of the party that this kind of fraudulent and deceptive report can never be accepted by the electorates of the erstwhile State.
Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind for his urgent intervention so that people of J&K and Ladakh shall not be victims of the deceptive and predetermined report. He lamented that the timing of the report has been chosen with malicious intentions at a time when the entire erstwhile State is passing through unbearable freezing weather and people cannot even open their doors to breathe in fresh air. The report’s timing has been chosen to keep people in the dark. The report is against provisions of the Constitution and established rule of law. He urged the President of India for immediate cancellation of the present Delimitation Report as it is manufactured by the Commission without application of mind and rule of law.
The Panthers Party also said that the report was one-sided and against the norms of established rule of democracy as no recognised political party has been taken into confidence. There are no legislators available to participate in the Delimitation Commission as the State Assembly was also dissolved on August 5, 2019.
The Panthers Party has invited the leadership of all recognized political parties to chalk out an action plan at the earliest to save the erstwhile State from the disaster and work together to restore its status.
