RCJC organised winter clothes distribution camp among needy

Jammu| : Rotary Club of Jammu City (RCJC) organised a Mega Winter Clothes Distribution Camp today at Nonath and Sangwali villages of Tehsil Gaghwal, District Samba.
More than 200 blankets, 50 tarpals, woolen clothes, stationery items and toys were distributed by the Club among the needy people of the two villages. Adv. Purnima Sharma, Dy. Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Mahant Rajesh Bittu ji was the Guest of Honour.
The Chief Guest Adv. Purnima Sharma, highly appreciated the commitment and spirit of the members of Rotary Club of Jammu City. She was very moved by the efforts of the Club and from her side donated 150 blankets to the deserving as a part of the Mega Camp.
Speaking on the occasion Rtn. Sandeep Beri, the President of the Club, said that the Club is committed to the cause of serving the underprivileged sections of the society for whom the Rotary Club of Jammu City has dedicated itself.
Rtn. Karuna Gupta, Secretary, informed the gathering that for more than 116 years, the guiding principles of Rotary have been service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership. Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues, she said.
Mahant Rajesh Bittu ji, the Guest of Honour, thanked Rotary Club of Jammu City and blessed the members for their philanthropic spirit.
The members of Rotary Club of Jammu City who participated and contributed towards the Mega Camp include Rtn. Jaswinder Kuku Singh, Rtn. Sunny Gupta, Rtn. Sanjay Gupta and Rtn. Ashwani Kundal. Avneesh Suri and Jyot Suri were also present on the occasion and contributed generously towards the organisation of the Camp.
