DC G’bal reviews progress under Distt Capex, B2V

Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Thursday reviewed the physical and financial progress of works being proposed under District Capex Budget 2021-22 and B2V3 works.
At the outset, threadbare discussion was held regarding the physical as well as financial status of projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal, besides a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by various departments was also taken.
The DC sought details from the heads of departments including JKPDCL, R&B, Jal Shakti and other sectors about the approved works, tendering status, expenditure and progress of ongoing projects/works.
The meeting was informed that about 1900 works are tendered among which most works are allotted out of total authorized works under District CAPEX 2021-22.
While reviewing the progress on works completed, the DC instructed executing agencies to complete the works within the stipulated time in order to avoid cost and time escalation.
Regarding B2V3, the meeting was informed that 254 works are authorized under B2V3 in the district out of which 244 works are tendered and are also allotted which are at different stages of completion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC maintained that the district administration is committed to ensure all development projects/works are completed within set timeline and stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion and exhorted for completing the tendering process of pending works within shortest possible time.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, Executive Engineers of various wings, CEO, District Youth Services and Sports Officer and other concerned.
