Srinagar: Police in Srinagar on Monday said that it has arrested 06 gamblers from a gambling site and seized Rs 21,480/- stake money.
In a statement issued here on Monday police said that acting on specific information, a police party from Police Post Qamarwari raided a gambling site at Qamarabad following an input about gambling activities and apprehended six gamblers.
Stating that officers have seized stake money of ₹21,480/- and playing cards from the gamblers, police in it’s statement said that the accused were arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody, stating therein further that a case FIR No. 177/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Parimpora and investigation has been initiated.
